We have always secretly loved you most, Miss Jennifer. You are, in our opinion, the ne plus ultra of modern superstardom.
But there comes a time when two queens have to look a diva in the eye and tell her what’s what.
Miss Woman, this is basic as shit. This is beneath a diva of your stature.
Not to be total bitches about it (FAR too late for that, we realize), but this is a dress Mariah would pass up. This is a dress for the Vanessa Hudgenses. You’re too fabulous with too well-established a superstardom pedigree to be flouncing around in a Barbie prom dress with too much exposure up top and a modesty panel you can see from space.
And we think a part of you knows this, because this sort of drag queen swanning and twirling isn’t like you at all. You can always figure the wearer doesn’t like what she’s got on when she starts doing twirls and curtseys in front of the cameras. We don’t mind a gal getting her tacky on, but you’ve always been good at doing a very upscale, celebrity-driven form of tacky that was fun to see. This looks like something J Lo should never be: basic.
