Once again, we feel compelled to remind you that Jennifer Lopez is never going to go the expected route when promoting her latest rom com. The Marry Me star did a round of press for the movie last week in a leather bra because your girl is only going to do the frilly romantic stuff if she feels it, not because she’s “supposed” to. Having covered her style for a decade+, we can say with some assurance that J Lo almost never feels like going the frilly or romantic route. Hence today’s press ensemble:

This is a great example of an outfit being much greater than the sum of its parts. The shoes are a little on the basic side and we don’t think we like the top at all, but this is a pretty great look for her. The makeup is soft and pretty, which really balances the look out. She’s a gal who can rock the shit out of a massive flare on her jeans just as easily she can handle about a pound or so of gold around her neck. It all comes together nicely and the various colors look great on her. As for the top, it’s just a bit too shiny and ruched for our tastes.
